I am a right handed pitcher at Olentangy High School. Olentangy is a large D1 school in northern Columbus, with a history of succesful baseball teams. This season I had the opportunity to go on our Varsity spring break trip and started one of our five games. In my first varsity start, I threw 5.0 innings, struck out 9 and and allowed one earned run to help our team get the first win of the season. I split time between JV and Varsity this season. I started against the top teams in central Ohio for both JV & Varsity. My varsity starts include games against #3 team in the state, Olentangy Liberty and the #12 team, Dublin Scioto. My fastball velocity continues to improve each year and my coach's feedback is that I get stronger later in the game. I throw two variations of a slider & slurve, one with late beak and another with downward sweeping action. These pitches tunnel well off each other and have helped me average 1.2Ks/inning. I throw a change up that has good depth and creates weak contact. I love to study pitch grips, mechanics, and use analytics in my training. I use Rapsodo in my bullpens, which helps me understand how my pitches work together and how to make adjustments to improve my performance.
